Martin Couture

Founder, SysCut

For more than 30 years, Martin Couture worked at the heart of the manufacturing industry. From metal fabrication to project management, through CNC programming, manufacturing processes, and estimating, he built a deep understanding of the day-to-day realities of the shop floor.

Over the course of his career, he held roles spanning the entire manufacturing cycle: technical sales, purchasing, estimating, project management, industrial equipment implementation, and production optimization. This experience put him face to face with the challenges manufacturing companies deal with every day: reducing material waste, improving productivity, cutting costs, and delivering quality projects.

A specialist in manufacturing processes, Martin has recognized expertise in fiber laser cutting, bending, rolling, machining, and steel, aluminum, and stainless steel profiles, as well as in production operations optimization. He notably took part in implementing and optimizing high-technology industrial equipment, improving its output beyond initially projected performance.

Over the years, one observation kept coming back: many companies were losing time, money, and raw material every day because of software tools that didn't fit the real needs of the shop floor. The solutions available were often complex, expensive, or built by developers who had never worked in production themselves.

That reality is where the idea for SysCut was born.

The goal was simple: build software made by a manufacturer, for manufacturers. An intuitive, fast, reliable solution capable of optimizing cuts, reducing material waste, and simplifying the work of estimators, planners, and fabrication shops.

Today, SysCut represents the meeting point of more than three decades of industry experience and modern software technology. Every feature is built from real situations experienced on the shop floor, with one constant priority: delivering a fast, measurable return on investment to manufacturing companies.

"Our vision is clear: to become an international reference in specialized software for the manufacturing industry, by building solutions that are simple, high-performing, and directly inspired by real shop floor needs."

Because the best software isn't born behind a screen alone. It's born on the shop floor, in contact with the everyday challenges of the people who make things.
